Have I Told You About......

....Milan and Iveta? These are two very wonderful people in the community of Martin. I met them through Bohdan, who asked me if I would teach them English. Of course I said yes, because I know when Bohdan asks, it is important. So we began lessons last month. In exchange for these lessons (and this is where God is so gracious to me!), Milan, (who owns a used car dealership here in Martin) and Iveta GAVE me a car to use while I am here in Slovakia! Can you believe that??!! It comes complete with insurance and oil changes, maintenance and whatever else it may need! All I buy is the gas! It never ceases to amaze me....the above and beyond ways that God cares for me...for us all really!

Here it is... isn't it cute? And it is just perfect for me! And my friends! Last Sunday I was able to fit 3 of my Bible study friends in the back for a hiking trip to Gaderska Dolina (pictures and story to follow). It only has two seat belts in the back so we doubled up and used one for Martina and Mima! Cecilie got one all to herself this time!

I am not the only one to benefit from the generosity of Milan and Iveta though!...

Milan was featured recently on a reality TV show here in Slovakia. The TV show is about people and families who need miracles in one way or another, so the show is a 'dreams come true' sort of show. The latest episode was about a family whose young son (8 or 10 years old) was hit by a bus and received brain injuries to the degree that he is now mentally disabled. As if this wasn't enough of a tragedy to him and his family...the young boy was recently diagnosed with cancer and now needs to travel to the hospital frequently for treatment. This family could not afford a car on their meager salaries....so, the producers of the show contacted Milan and asked if he would be willing to help. And boy did he! He gave them a minivan so that they could easily transport their son to the hospital as often as necessary for his cancer treatment!

That's the kind of people Milan and Iveta are....and God is using them to bless their community and to show His Love and Care for all His people, here and abroad!

Thank you and God bless you richly Milan and Iveta!

What a cute little car and unexpected blessing! Just one of those unexpected ways God surprises us.

Less than three week before the team heads your way...can you believe it? Time for me to get working on finishing up lesson plans. :-)
