I was invited to join Michal, Starka and Marek on a trip to Germany to see Michal's brother's confirmation in the Lutheran faith this past week. It was a great trip up through Bratislava, through Austria and up to Frankfurt to visit his sister, Lucia for a day and then down to just a bit south of Stuttgart to his mother's house.

There were alot of 'firsts' for both Starka and Marek on this trip! It started with traveling during the day instead of night time! Starka got to see the scenery this time! (Michal and Katka usually travel at night so the kids can handle the long 12 hour journey better).It was their first time on a subway!Strange building design!The old with the new. Ice Cream Break!
