English Chocolate Chips
Last week, in my first year beginner English class, we talked about ingredients and recipes and shopping lists and cooking utensils, etc. This week, we put our new found words into practice and made chocolate chip cookies! Everyone brought an ingredient needed and each took a turn reading the directions on the package and measuring their ingredient into the bowls. Chocolate chips and liquid vanilla extract are novelties here because none of the stores sell them. (I had these shipped special from America!) We had a great time assembling everything, practicing the words and of course tasting the final products! All in all I think it was a good couple of weeks worth of English!

the vanilla extract was a little different...in Slovakia it is like granulated sugar.
Anna is due next Thursday!
Teamwork!
Yep, this looks right!
Now what do we do?
A perfect tray of cookies = a perfect plate of cookies!
Bless their hearts - Martina and Kate washed all the dishes!
