Friday Night Youth Group

You know how fear can sometimes immobilize you for a little while....well that's what has kept me from going to the youth group meetings on Friday evenings for the past 6 months. Fear. Of the unknown mostly. But all that has changed now thanks to a little girl named Nicole who is in the 9th grade. She was in my English class last summer and after listening to some of my music, asked me to bring the cds with me, which I did. I just have not seen her since I have been here...until Sunday after church when we ran into each other outside the Sunday school class she was helping in. We got to talking and she invited me to come to her youth group on Friday. It was from 5:30 to 7 but since my Bible study starts at 7 I could only stay an hour. Anyway......I had a great time! I don't know why I am always so surprised when God surprises me with having a great time with His people - of any age! I plan to go back next Friday - and take my camera this time! Those kids are so sweet....they even sang one song in Slovak and English just for me! (Lord I Lift Your Name On High) Well, have a blessed week!
