Today is Thanksgiving in America and my family and friends will be celebrating this day, eating turkey with all the trimmings and pumpkin pie and playing games and having great conversations.
I am celebrating with my students today - not with food, but with the history and the traditions we hold dear. I have been telling them about the tradition to go around the table before we begin feasting and share what we are thankful for that year. To my delight, we are going around the classroom sharing what we are grateful for this year! I have 4-2/hr. classes today so there's no time to cook, but there is time to share!
And what do I say I am grateful for? That God has allowed me to be in Slovakia this year with these wonderful people, that my dad's good health is returning more and more each day and for the prayers of many who lifted him up to God over several weeks, that God blessed me so mightily with all of you who are my cheerleaders, my supporters, my prayer warriors, my teachers and tutors, and most especially, I am grateful for the Lord Jesus Christ, who through His sacrifice on our behalf, made it possible to be with Him in person again one day!
Have a Peace-filled Thanksgiving!

Happy Turkey Day to you too! How wonderful for you to share the heart of thanksgiving with those around you. It is more than the smell of turkey. Linda : )
Mary, I'm glad you had such a blessed Thanksgiving even though you were far across the ocean. God will honor you in your hearts desire for Him, and that's better than any turkey and pumpkin pie! I forgot the pie this year anyway. Can you believe that? : )
