Having other Americans here to spend time with has been a wonderful blessing from the Lord. I know that without Ken and Grace and Paul and Pris here to help ease me into a world of the unknown, I would have had a much rougher time of adjusting to my new life here. God is so merciful and gracious to me and I Praise Him for it!
I enjoy my time with my new American friends immensely and will continue to enjoy their friendship. At the same time, I am craving the friendship of the Slovak community which to me seems so hard to attain. Yet to that end I ask for your prayers for me as I stretch my wings a little and go this coming Thursday to a Bible study led by the Pastor here for anyone in the congregation who wants to come....it will be in Slovak, though he does speak a little English I would not expect him to translate everything and so disrupt the study. However, it gets me into the community of Slovak believers which is right where I need and want to be......Michal (the Director of the Bible School) thinks the choir would also be an excellent place for me but I'm not quite ready for that. So, dear friends, please do pray for God to transition me into the Slovak community in His perfect time and way - and pray very hard that I wait patiently on Him for all things. D'jakuem

I will absolutely pray for you in this area. That is a tough one. Glad you have American friends to be
with but that does probably make assimilation more difficult. It is hard to live in two cultures. I met a single woman missionary a couple of weeks ago who has been in Poland 22 years and says she live close to Martin. Love your blog and pictures. God is using you.

Mary
I wanted you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers, along with other friends here, in Oregon.
I finally made it to your site, and thank you for sharing and creating a blog so we can share in your experience.
I found a quote that I wanted to share:
We live our truth
~ with compassion
We let go
~ and Grow with Gratitude
We rise above the mess
~ to see the blessings
and ...
We FAITH it till we make it!
Yes We FAITH it till we make it
God's loving grace has no boundaries as when we reach out with an open heart ...
Jesus will find the way through our example to touch others that we come in contact with.
I wish you love and peace of heart, and grace and faith in
knowing you are fulfilling a purpose by being there completely
to serve what Jesus has called to your heart to do.
May blessings enfold you and comfort you.
Always,
Tirene
Thank you Linda for your encouragement and kind words and prayers on my behalf. I appreciate it more than you know!
Hi Tirene!
