This past Sunday was Thanksgiving Day at church! The picture does not do it justice by any means so I will have to try to describe the setting and the mood! Hopefully the picture shows some of the
decorations - apples, leaves, acorns on the book stands at each pew and vegetables, (whole bunches of carrots, gords, potatoes and the like on the floor at each pew and a wreath of leaves abouve the podium where the Priests stand. It was beautiful - if I had known what was going on I would have grabbed my camera earlier and taken a picture of the little girls standing outside the church entrance with baskets full of bread cubes! (I had just enough time to run back to my room for my camera before the service began.....I have learned my lesson - always, always, always bring my camera - even to church!). So the choir sang the most melodious tunes and the Priest's liturgy was sung even more beautifully on this day of Thanksgiving to the Lord of the Harvest! It was magical - and though I did not understand much of what was spoken, in my heart, I did....I knew it was a time to thank our God for all He has provided to us. And so, I did. With a thankful heart I acknowledged and thanked Him for His provision to us all, for His Sovereignty over all things and His Grace and Mercy to us all. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
