Bible study was awesome! There were 7 of us, but now I've heard there will be more in 2 weeks! Also, it is not an all women's study as I had thought, which is great because men have a different perspective on things that is good to hear as well!
So, one of the couples attending are from Norway - studying at the medical school here in Martin. Jan Ruben is a 3rd year med student wanting to be a pediatric surgeon and his wife Cecilia is a 1st year med student wanting to be a general practitioner. They both speak English very well. Then we have 2 teachers, Mima and Martina, who are best friends and both Slovak. The other 3 of us are Americans, (Lindsay from Minnesota, Grace from Illinois and me). Mima told me on Sunday that she knew 1 or 2 other people who might come so it could be a really full house!
We are meeting here in my apartment and will be studying from the Max Lucado study course entitled: Experiencing the Heart of Jesus. I look forward to all that God will teach us about Himself and each other in the coming months.
Thank you all for your faithful praying - this is just what I have been hoping for!
God Bless you All....
It is a holiday here for All Saints Day on November 1st, (a religious holiday for them, not a spooky one like ours!), so everyone is on vacation this week. We will meet again on Nov. 7th
