The Castle

Last Saturday, Pris, Paul, Ken (his wife couldn't come) and I took the train into Strecno, a small village about 25 minutes west of here. It was great fun to venture out via train and thanks to Paul's research, we made it there and back without a hitch!
From the train, we walked through the far side of the town, crossed over the foot bridge of the Vah River and then walked through the main part of town until we finally reach the old stone steps that led to the road to the 14th century Strecno Castle. The climb up was not as bad as I'd remembered it being!
We met a couple there from Romania who spoke English very well and told us that all of Hungary speaks English well and that we should come and visit their country....so I think I will! Paul and Pris

Hi Penny! I'm glad you are enjoying the blog! I enjoy writing about things and posting pictures as I can! The internet is up and down and posting pics isn't as easy to do here as it is there! Love your comments - thank you!
