I've Arrived!

I am happy to report I have made it safely to Martin, Slovakia. The travel was a little harder on me this time than it was when I came in July due to the recent traveling to and from Hawaii for my nephew's wedding. I wouldn't change it for the world though as the wedding was most memorable and the week with current and new family very enjoyable.

It took several days and 2 computer gurus to get signed on to the internet. I didn't have this trouble in July, but for some reason this time I couldn't get on without alot of manual set up. I am (mostly) on now, however it keeps going in and out so I may be in the middle of a blog and get kicked off the server and lose everything....this has happened once already today! :o)

I am beginning to get acclimated to the time change here but still am waking up at 4 am every morning, even though I only went to bed a 11 pm - I can't get back to sleep so I get up and do more unpacking and organizing....I'm sure the lack of sleep will catch up to me eventually and that I will be sleeping through the night again soon.

I have been looking so forward to this time in Slovakia, that I was surprised to have these waves of intense feelings of lonliness for my family and friends. I haven't had any melt downs but the feelings of longing are very real and have caught me by surprise. I know God will comfort me and keep me from missing everyone too much or too long.....as He will do for those who miss me. He is a very compassionate God....

I will start teaching sometime next week - the schedule will hopefully be ready for me today!

Well, I am on to the next thing - finishing the set up of my apartment! I will tell you all about it soon....
